There are two types of custom luxury builds, an investment home and a dream family home.
Your family's dream home, the house design is geared towards the needs, wants and the family's lifestyle accommodations and how they want to enjoy their home.
A custom home as an investment, then you want to have an in depth market analysis of the area to discover the budget that the area determines to support a similar build. You want to be able to build to the quality and standard of the homes in the area. You cannot build a $5 million dollar home in a $2 million dollar area, you will not get the return on your investment.
Either way a market analysis is necessary also to help guide families in which area of the home they can splurge to get the best value if they ever decide to sell sooner rather than later. Regardless of the purpose of the custom house build, once the requirements of the customer are established, the process then becomes the same.
